Thanh Nam Fishing Heritage

Surrounded by rivers and the sea, Hoi An has long been home to fishing communities in places such as Cam An, Thanh Nam and Cam Kim. Fishing is more than a livelihood here: it carries generations of seafaring knowledge, daily customs and coastal culture. From basket boats moving through small waterways to fishermen working traditional lift nets, the rhythm of life on the water is still visible in the early morning.
